Description

At first I wanted to try and experiment with a B and an S being next to each other. I found a way to make them be formed through the same line. At first I tried to make a look similar to a needle and string. Then I experimented with turning the line in the middle to a pencil. Afterwards I got the idea to turn the line of B and S into just scribbles made by a pencil and making the letters look more subtle. I also experimented with simplifying the pencil int he middle and turned it into a pencil tip. I also added a red logo from an old character I used to draw in comics in middle school. While using the bucket tool I had a line be missing in the middle of the pencil point and I liked it so much I incorporated it into my design. The simple pencil mark was also not working for me and my professor suggested making it be thicker so I turned it into an ink mark. Lastly, I changed the color of the background to my middle school character as well since I thought a white or blank background would be too bland. With all that I created my logo. It is something that involves different aspects of my life and is a representation of my artistic side.
